Maxwell Anderson, a leading, world renowned Doctor and biologist, who specialises in bacterial, virulent and parasitic pandemics, is recruited by a secret department at the Ministry of Defence to investigate a new disease, which appears to see those who die from it, come back to life in a violent lust for human blood.

 

Max realises he has been tricked into developing a new biological weapon for the MOD, who choose a remote British inhabited island to test the effectiveness of their weapon.

 

The island is deliberately cut off from the outside world and the inhabitants are left to fight for their survival.
